Position Title: Registered Nurse Manager – Emergency Room

Shift: Evening

LOCATION: Houston, TX

Position Overview

We’re seeking a dynamic and compassionate nursing leader to manage operations within a fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Department. This role is ideal for a clinically strong and emotionally intelligent RN Manager with a passion for developing staff, improving patient outcomes, and enhancing the emergency care experience.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate all clinical and administrative functions within the Emergency Department to ensure optimal performance.

Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff, fostering continuous education, skill development, and team cohesion.

Maintain high standards for quality of care and patient safety, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal benchmarks.

Make operational decisions based on clinical standards, staffing requirements, and patient volume, collaborating with leadership as needed.

Champion initiatives to improve patient satisfaction, staff engagement, and departmental efficiency.

Promote a positive and collaborative work environment that supports best practices and a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent leadership experience in an acute care Emergency Department.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

Licensure: Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas or compact license (must obtain TX license within 90 days of hire).

Certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) required; TNCC and PALS required.

Reports to: Director of Emergency Services

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
