Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer with a strong emphasis on CNC mill programming, particularly horizontal mills. The ideal candidate will have expertise in programming and implementing machining automation to optimize production efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Determining a rough process designed used for estimating and quoting.
Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, with a focus on horizontal milling machines.
Develop and optimize CNC programs to improve machining efficiency and precision.
Implement machining automation solutions to streamline production processes.
Conduct tool selection, fixture design, and process improvements to enhance productivity.
Perform quality control checks to ensure components meet strict specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve machining and programming issues.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine manufacturing processes.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to company and industry standards.
The expectation of this position is an ability to take a part from request-for-quote (RFQ) to 1st article and hand off to the production team, optimize existing processes, and contribute to future automation and machine tool investment decisions.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining and programming.
Proficiency in G-code programming and CAD/CAM software (Mastercam currently used)
Strong knowledge of horizontal milling machines and multi-axis machining.
Experience with machining automation and process optimization.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Compensation & Benefits
Pay range: $35.00 to $42.50 per hour. Compensation will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
