Volt is immediately hiring Engineering Technician in Palm Bay, FL

Job Description:

Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.

Assists in the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment.

Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.

Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.

May work with complex machines or computer systems. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.

Performs calibration and alignment checks; adjusts, modifications, and replacements as directed prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.

Qualifications:

Cable and harness installation, routing and cable management, cable mate/debate experience

Mechanical assembly and test of hardware including ESD sensitive hardware

Hardware integration

Rigging/overhead crane,

Preparation for and conducting system level hardware testing (deployments, environments testing, etc.).

Performing system level alignments to meet system requirements

Field support for launch vehicle integration only during a one-week timeframe at the end of the year.

Move equipment weighing 45 pounds or less from one place to another-anything over this is a two-person lift

Occasional repetitive movements during specified durations.

Manual dexterity, motor skills and situational awareness to handle and manufacture space hardware.

Cable routing and wire harness

Basic computer skills

This is a 09 Month full time Contract opportunity.

Pay Range: $30 –32 per hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
