We are currently looking for an exceptional individual who can confidently navigate the demands that come with working in such a high-volume position to join our Outside Sales team at our Salem, OR location.

Outside Sales Basic Duties:

Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.

Cold Calls.

Seek out new projects and opportunities.

Some occasional travel.

Maintain relationships with manufacturers and manufacturer's Reps.

Remain up to date with latest product knowledge.

Prepare detailed and professional proposals.

Most importantly be professional and uphold PSP's core values.

Outside Sales Desired Experience/Skills:

Prior industry and outside sales experience a plus, but not required.

Effective organization and prioritization skills.

Work independently and as a team member.

Ability to multi-task and meet established deadlines.

Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.

Excellent communication skills while interacting with both, customers, and employees, in a friendly and professional manner.

Ability to problem solve and work through stressful situation.

Ability to learn and become proficient in basic computer programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as our order entry system.

Be responsive to customer needs including great customer service, attention to detail and daily follow through on all sales orders.

Research customer requests using resources such as vendors and the Internet.

Requirements:

HS Diploma or equivalency

Pass pre-employment drug screen

Pass Background Check

Must currently possess and maintain a current and clear driving record
