Position Title: Fork Lift Operator

Locations: 300 SW 5th Street, P.O. Box 1000, Woodhull, IL 61490, USA

Anticipated Start Date: 06/03

Expected Duration: 6 Months

Job Type: Contract with possible extension

Shift: Rotating 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts (10–12 hrs/day), including Sunday–Thursday, Saturday–Friday, and seasonal 2-3-2 12-hour rotations.

Pay Rate $19.00/hr. on W2

Need: Minimum 1 year of forklift and warehouse experience; forklift certification preferred.

Job Description:

Job Title: Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate

Shift Schedule:

Rotating shifts: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd

Shifts may range from 10–12 hours per day

Shift patterns include:

Sunday–Thursday

Saturday–Friday

12-hour shifts with a 2-3-2 rotation (dependent on season)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safely and professionally operate a forklift while maintaining an accident-free record.

Perform routine forklift inspections and document results accurately.

Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of the forklift.

Use Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track the movement and location of goods. Ensure all data entries are accurate and timely.

Carry out additional manual tasks as assigned by the warehouse supervisor or team lead (e.g., sampling, inventory, general cleaning).

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

During peak delivery and return seasons, ensure the safe, efficient loading and unloading of goods with an emphasis on quality packaging and customer satisfaction.

Follow all safety procedures and initiate appropriate emergency responses when necessary.

Preferred Experience

Minimum of 1 year of forklift operation experience.

At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse setting.

Prior forklift certification preferred.

Skills and Abilities

Strong attention to detail and accuracy when counting and handling inventory.

Ability to read and interpret scales.

Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated alertness and safety awareness while operating forklifts.

Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.

Able to work independently or collaboratively within a team.

Comfortable operating a forklift in tighter or confined spaces.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

Must successfully pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings.

Reliable transportation and punctuality are required.

Must demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism, and respect for others.

Positive attitude, honesty, and a strong work ethic are essential.
