Human Resources & Payroll Manager

This position plays a pivotal role in steering the company’s human resources, payroll, and benefits administration, ensuring rigorous compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities in human resources will encompass the development and implementation of robust personnel policies and procedures, as well as the maintenance and enhancement of the employee handbook. This role is essential in guaranteeing adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, STD, NJLAD, and ADA. Furthermore, the position will drive recruitment strategies and offer expert guidance in employee relations, fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.

Payroll responsibilities involve preparing and processing bi-weekly payroll and maintaining payroll records for approximately 100 employees. Benefits administration includes collaborating with third-party service providers for medical, dental, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and COBRA administration.

The Human Resources and Payroll Manager must possess a Bachelor's degree and have at least three years of management experience in human resources, payroll processing, benefits administration, employment law, and general management. Experience with Paychex payroll systems is highly preferred.

This position is full-time and takes place in a professional office environment. The role is primarily seated and sedentary; however, employees are occasionally required to stand, walk, use their hands and fingers, reach with their hands and arms, and communicate verbally. Additionally, employees may need to lift or move office supplies and products weighing up to 20 pounds.
