Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Director to lead our electrical department operations and project activities. The ideal candidate will drive business development, ensure timely project execution, and maintain high-quality standards while implementing strategic plans to achieve corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities

The role oversees all aspects of departmental operations, managing an annual workload of $40–$60 million. It includes leadership of a team comprising of project managers, office staff and 40-60 field staff.

Strong design / build experience.

Develop and execute an annual department business plan and budget.

Mentor and guide team members to foster professional growth.

Coordinate with suppliers, architects, clients, engineers, project managers, and superintendents to ensure seamless project operations.

Lead contract negotiations and buy-outs for major projects.

Oversee department activities, including accounting, business development, contract payments, and client/contractor relationships.

Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, ensure quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Support team in resolving project challenges.

Attend pre-bid conferences, subcontractor awards, and project-related meetings.

Manage financial controls, review project progress, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Approve purchase orders and change orders per company policy.

Perform additional duties as needed to support organizational goals.

Qualifications

20+ years of electrical experience required.

10+ years of supervisory/management experience.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts, and client relationships.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
