Lorenc Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Center is looking for a driven, goal-oriented, type-A player for a LPN / Research Assistant position to work in a private upscale cosmetic plastic surgery office Preforming LPN duties as well as assist our Study coordinator in our FDA Clinical trials.
Job Details
The job consists of assisting the doctor (plastic surgeon) to see patients during office hours, coordinating all surgical procedures, circulating in the OR, drawing blood and taking specimen samples as well as assisting the Study coordinator and taking delegation on FDA Study specific tasks. Candidate will also be operating our IV program which will require IV insertion and care.
Certifications:
The candidate will need a current LPN certification in addition to an IV certification.
The ideal candidate has superb clinical and organizational skills. This is a front of the house position. Well groomed hair and clean manicure is required with a professional, polished, and friendly demeanor. This individual must have the ability to work independently with a proactive approach for time management and circulation of office tasks. Candidate MUST BE able to incorporate into a small intimate team and work as a team player with the willingness and ability to begin work as early as 8:30 and have the fexability to work past 5 PM when the occasion arises due to late patient care or surgeries. You must be available to work a MONDAY -FRIDAY 9-5 SHIFT.
All candidates must have experience in Plastic/Cosmetic Surgery.
Applicant should have experience with both front desk and back-office duties.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Assist physician with patient examinations and office procedures (suture removal, set-up for minor surgeries, etc.)
Clean examination rooms
Ensure examination rooms are fully stocked, take inventory assure all materials are available in advance
Sterilize equipment
Record patient and testing information
Manage patient flow
Dressing changes
Logging specimens
Laser/Micro-needling procedures
Draw blood
Answer phone calls
Schedule and coordinate surgical appointments
Work with the study coordinator to log subject information for FDA trails
Use photo equipment particular to FDA trails to phot subjects progress in trails and log necessary updates
take blood and specimen requirements for FDA Studies
Manage and administer IV program
