Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, the Engineering and Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all plant and production equipment.

Principal Accountabilities

Serve as a member of the Management Committee

Ensure the safe operation of all equipment and maintain the integrity of facility structures

Source and procure parts for the repair, modification, or optimization of new and existing equipment

Develop Capital Expenditure (CapEx) plans for new equipment to enhance operational efficiency

Provide input on equipment requirements and capabilities for new business initiatives

Design and implement a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Program

Supervise Korex mechanics, electricians, and external contractors performing installation or repair work

Prepare and submit documentation to regulatory agencies (e.g., MOE, MOL) as required

Troubleshoot equipment performance and reliability issues, implementing effective solutions to improve operations

Qualifications

Professional Engineering designation

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role

Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and equipment

Working knowledge of PLC logic

Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD

Excellent investigative, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities

Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees, customers, and suppliers

Demonstrated analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
