Network/Firewall Engineer

Location : Singapore

Key Responsibilities

Administer and manage network infrastructure including Cisco, Fortinet, F5, and related technologies.

Strong working knowledge of ACI, Cisco (IOS/IOS-XE), Arista, F5, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto firewalls.

Perform regular patch management and vulnerability remediation across network and firewall components (mandatory).

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to patching, firmware upgrades, and rollback procedures (mandatory).

Conduct BIOS and firmware upgrades as needed.

Plan, assess, and execute patch deployments, including rollback planning and impact analysis.

Utilize tools such as NetBot and similar platforms for patch management.

Automate pre- and post-patching activities using appropriate scripting or automation tools.

Monitor and maintain network logs to ensure system integrity and compliance.

Deep understanding of network flows, traffic patterns, and performance analysis.

Expertise in DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions.

Strong experience in Layer 2/Layer 3 networking: Switching (VLANs, Link Aggregation, STP variants) and Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).

Proficient in configuring and managing Standard and Extended Access Control Lists (ACLs).

Required Skills & Qualifications

8–10 years of hands-on experience in Network and Firewall Administration.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Prior experience working in SLA-driven environments.

Flexible and adaptable in dynamic, team-oriented work settings.

Availability to support weekend maintenance as per roster and provide weekday on-call support as required.
