Role: Full-time, Part-time, Consultant

Electroninks is quickly expanding and is seeking an experienced, full-time Regulatory and Product Specialist to join our team! The ideal candidate is detail oriented, can build strong relationships, is innovative and a team player.

To be successful in this role, you will have a working knowledge in the field of product safety, SDS authoring, regulatory affairs including shipping hazardous materials, procurement of chemicals, and overseeing product management. This position will work with our internal Product, R&D, Production, Facility, and Logistics teams to ensure product SDS and regulatory compliance with domestic and foreign regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the creation of globally compliant SDS documents and labels for R&D and commercial products

Procurement and Product Management: responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing reliable suppliers for the sourced chemicals. Oversee all the processes involved in acquiring the products, materials, goods and services needed for efficient business operations.

Responsible for leading product development process requests from R&D to production. This included determining their feasibility, strategic sourcing strategies, provide advice and feedback for modifications necessary to ensure success, and contributes to company’s corporate goals.

Prepare regulatory applications, including registration of new chemicals to TSCA registry and international regulatory bodies

Review new and existing international regulations, guidance documents, and standards to ensure product compliance

Closely collaborate with internal cross-functional teams (Production, technical/product experts, facilities and logistics) to resolve any potential issues from in-region regulatory agencies.

Closely collaborate with our partners, third parties (e.g. SGS and similar certification firms) and customers’ regulatory specialists

Handling, packaging and logistics of our products, including in some cases hazardous goods

Provide regulatory guidance, risk assessment and management throughout entire product lifecycle

Prepare for, organize, and accommodate potential government or customer audits

Coordinate with Facility Manager on safety audits in areas such as air quality, handling of new hazardous chemicals, equipment safety, and general industrial hygiene,

Develop and conduct EHS education and training as required, including basic safety training for new employees as well as refresher training for current employees.

Manage OSHA requirements and reporting

Knowledge of ongoing research and development projects of current ink products and/or new product development

Provides a liaison between engineering, strategic sourcing, suppliers, Procurement, Supply Chain, quality assurance and manufacturing teams to eliminate technical barriers that may affect the quality and delivery of strategically sourced materials

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field and/or 4+ years of industry experience.

Experience in wet chemical laboratories or chemical manufacturing environments is required.

Experience with SDS authoring

Experience interfacing with federal, state, local & international regulatory bodies

Experience with hazardous chemical handling and shipping, including current or recent IATA certification (or ability to quickly renew)

EHS-related licenses and certifications are desired (OSHA General Industrial, Wastewater Collection, EPA, DOT, ISO 9001 etc)

Experience with ERP systems

Broad knowledge base of Environmental, Occupational Health, and safety regulations.

Self-motivated and a team player

Ability to travel to our production sites, if needed

Strong verbal and written communication with organizational and project planning skills.

Self-motivation, desire to learn new things while working in a team as well as independently.

Experience with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel and PowerPoint
