Web Content Producer

Description

Under direct supervision, responsible for writing and producing digital content across web, social, and mobile platforms in support of the institution's mission.

Responsibilities

Writes and produces digital content across web, social, and mobile platforms according to organizational branding.

Develops, manages and executes effective web-based messaging, processes and strategies in support of organizational initiatives.

Creates engaging content for departmental website and social media outlets by gathering information, taking photos, and shooting/editing video.

Reviews and updates web pages on a recurring basis to include updates on guides according to developing content.

Assists with researching new technologies and opportunities for content management and dissemination.

Uses Google Analytics to analyze and improve content performance, set performance goals, develop metrics and provide reporting to key stakeholders.

Monitors social media channels and assists in facilitating interaction and relationship building.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Demonstrated abilities using web-based publishing tools; Drupal, WordPress, Sprout, Google Analytics, Formstack, YouTube, and SharePoint is a plus.

Demonstrated knowledge of web usability and accessibility as it applies to web content.

Ability to learn new technologies and work with teams to provide input on improvements to existing systems.

Collaborative work style and comfortable with diversity.

Ability to think quickly and creatively under pressure.

Detail oriented with meticulous planning and organizational skills while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Expert at efficient research, writing, and editing.

Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Information Management or related field is required.
