Job Title: Manufacturing Test Technician (AOI/ AXI)
Job Function: Manufacturing
Job Overview: The AOI/AXI technicians support SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and final assembly AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and AXI (Automated X-ray Inspection) equipment in the operating, programming, and troubleshooting. Reports to the Manufacturing Test Manager located at Unigen Headquarters in Newark, CA.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
1. Develop AXI and AOI programs.
Develop AXI/ AOI programs with the goal to minimize false calls and eliminating escapes,
Maintain and fine-tune programs as required due to process changes and implement ECOs,
Establish and continue to maintain AXI libraries for efficient program development minimizing test development time 2. Provide support to manufacturing during NPI production phase.
Supervise and train AOI, AXI and paperless repair operators,
Establish feedback systems/loops for immediate corrective action on high defect rates or false call rates, 3. Perform hardware diagnostics and repairs for AXI; AOI,
Maintain spare parts inventory for AOI; AXI,
Maintain test results data for future reference,
Support failure analysis, process qualifications/validation, and process yield improvements,
Evaluate new machinery for purchase, creating training classes, and performing demos for customers. 4. Work with Quality Control team to provide quality improvement plans and/or corrective and preventive actions.
Participate in Design, Development, Implementation and Troubleshooting of Processes/New Processes and Equipment, Manufacturing Aids, Jigs and Fixtures,
Support manufacturing personnel to develop process improvements, supporting the resolution of manufacturing problems,
Solve daily manufacturing process related problems around defect generation.
Qualifications:
Minimum BS Degree in Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in Manufacturing Process and Program Development.
Understanding of Bill of Material, PCB and PCBA documentation.
Understanding of IPC-610 acceptability.
Experience in Manufacturing Process, and Program development of Vitrox AOI/AXI & amp; TRI/SAKI AOI/SPI.
Specialized training in electronics component/PCBA manufacturing and mechanical part fabrication process quality inspection techniques.
Salary: $25.00 - $33.00 / Hour
