Traveling Superintendent

Now Hiring: Traveling Superintendent - Mission-Critical Projects (Data Centers)

Our client, a nationally recognized general contractor specializing in mission-critical construction, is seeking two experienced Traveling Superintendents to join their growing team. These roles are ideal for construction professionals with a background in complex, high-performance facilities who are open to regional travel.

Primary Project Focus:

Data Centers (new construction and fit-outs)

Preferred Candidate Location:

Ideally based near Pittsburgh, PA, but candidates from surrounding states including West Virginia, Ohio, New Jersey, Kentucky, and New York will also be considered. The closer to Pittsburgh, the better for long-term logistics and deployment efficiency.

Additional Relevant Project Experience Includes:

Food Processing Plants

Laboratories

Manufacturing Facilities

Distribution Centers

Other Industrial or High-Security Environments

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all on-site construction activities and subcontractors

Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope and budget

Manage project schedules, site logistics, and quality control

Coordinate with Project Managers, engineers, clients, and vendors

Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and industry standards

Lead and motivate field teams to achieve production goals and deliver excellence

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on ground-up or major renovation projects

Proven ability to manage complex job sites independently

Prior experience with mission-critical or technical projects is highly preferred

Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Ability to travel regionally and work on-site full-time during active project phases

OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
