TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full time Toll Collection Manager to join our team in Gig Harbor, Washington.

Job Summary: The Toll Collection Manager oversees all aspects of a toll facility's operations, including managing staff, ensuring smooth toll collection processes, monitoring electronic toll collection systems, resolving customer issues, and monitoring revenue collection to guarantee efficient and accurate toll transactions across a toll plaza or network. In addition, the Toll Collection Manager must develop and maintain excellent relationships with other department staff.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Hire, train, and supervise Toll Supervisors and Collectors.

Implement a 24/7 shift assignment for Supervisors and Collectors.

Monitor daily toll collection activities, manage traffic flow, and address operational issues at toll plazas.

Handle customer complaints, inquiries, and concerns related to tolls, providing resolution and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Manage responses to emergencies or disruptions at toll plazas, coordinating with relevant authorities.

Ensure adherence to all toll collection regulations, policies, and procedures.

Provide reports relating to pertinent operations monitoring metrics. Requirements and QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience and 2 years in a leadership role.

Strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage a team of toll collectors.

Excellent problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges and customer issues.

Familiarity with electronic toll collection systems and technology.

Strong analytical skills to review data and identify areas for improvement.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and staff.

Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to toll collection.

Salary Range: $85,000 to $95,000/year, based upon experience

This is a safety sensitive position subject to pre-employment drug testing, including THC.

Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and moving traffic. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
