In the role of CAD Technician, we'll count on you to:

Create detailed electrical designs for facilities, including lighting systems, power systems, communications, security and fire detection in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)

Create or revise drawings per client standards.

Organize CAD files per program requirements and company standards.

Coordinate drafting tasks with designers and engineers to complete projects on schedule.

Create detailed electrical designs for facilities, including lighting systems, power systems, communications, security, and fire detection in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Perform basic system calculations, drawing production, some master specification editing, and cost estimating assistance.

Perform assignments utilizing standard engineering techniques and procedures under the supervision of a licensed professional.

Direct the efforts of less-experienced CAD Technicians as needed.

Perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

Technical degree or a minimum of 3 years related industry experience

Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure

Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools

Experience with 3D Coordination tools

Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential

Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
