As one of the most financially solid and respected names in Marine Construction, Dredging, and Materials, their legacy runs deep, and their impact stretches across the San Francisco Bay, the Delta, and the vital waterways that define California.

With three powerhouse divisions under one roof - Marine Construction, Dredging, and Materials - this Client is a full-service, turnkey operation. This seamless integration gives them a bold edge in the industry, delivering faster, smarter, and more reliable results than the competition.

In 2024, the Client recently secured a landmark $350 million, three-year project, further reinforcing their position as a trusted leader in large-scale infrastructure work.

Strategically headquartered in Northern, CA - right at the heart of California's critical infrastructure - the Construction Division operates out of a site that includes offices, a fabrication shop, and an equipment yard. Prefer the Bay? There's also the flexibility to work from their Bay Area location, offering convenience without compromise.

From fortifying levees that protect Sacramento to crafting seawalls in Alameda or answering the call during the Oroville Dam crisis, this Clients' projects are more than just construction - their bold moves protect and preserve California's future.

They Value and Appreciate their Employees

A quote from an employee: "The executive team really cares - the Executive Chairman came to the office the other day, out of the blue, and he brought lunch for 75 employees. Then he talked with us personally, and it's not just about work, it's about "how is your new baby doing?" Where are you going on vacation this year?"

They hire people who want to grow and develop - the career path for this position is to become a Senior Project Manager within the next few years.

The proof is in the longevity - the average length of service is 20 years!

Excellent compensation and benefits

Safety is extremely important, and it shows in their numbers with a current mod rate of .71, almost unheard of in the construction industry.

Your Role with the Company

As a Project Manager with this Client, you won't just manage projects - you'll lead complex, high-stakes operations that shape California's coastline and protect its communities. You'll take charge of field crew coordination, making sure the right people and the right equipment are in place to get the job done safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

You'll assess and secure specialized equipment, guide its setup and maintenance, and keep a sharp eye on evolving site conditions. When the unexpected happens - as it often does in the field - you'll adapt quickly, identifying changes in scope and developing smart solutions in real time.

Every day, you'll track the resources driving the project forward and collaborate with the team to deliver accurate, timely reporting. You'll bring fresh thinking to production strategies, seeking out smarter methods to stay ahead of schedule and under budget.

From the very start, you'll dig into project plans to understand timelines, budgets, staffing needs, and critical milestones. You'll build out detailed work plans and mobilize the right talent for every phase. As the central force on the ground, you'll lead project teams with clear direction, strong communication, and unwavering accountability

Your job doesn't end with execution - it includes keeping clients informed, adapting schedules as needed, and making sure every aspect of the job runs smoothly. You'll be the go-to contact for key stakeholders, representing this client with professionalism and confidence while ensuring the success of some of California's most vital infrastructure projects.

Reports directly to the Vice President of Construction.

What you bring to the table

Experienced Leader in Civil or Marine Construction: You bring 5+ years of hands-on project management experience in heavy civil or marine construction-or a strong combination of education and related experience. A Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction Management is ideal, but we value real-world expertise just as much.

Brains & Balance: You don't just make decisions-you make smart ones. You've got a knack for breaking down tough issues, seeing the full picture, and driving solutions that make sense on paper and on site.

Fluent in the Tools of the Trade: You know your way around HCSS, Primavera, Excel, and CAD, and maybe even Vista. If not, no sweat-we'll help you get there. What matters is that you're confident navigating the digital tools that keep modern projects running smoothly.
