About the Role

Media and Communication Specialist in support of the Indo Pacific Biosuveillance and Epidemiology Research Program sponsored by the US Naval Medical Research Unit INDO PACIFIC (NAMRU INDO PACIFIC)

What You’ll Do in Your New Role

Support the NAMRU Indo-Pacific Office in Hanoi, Vietnam, by performing the following tasks, including but not limited to:

Design and create content for (up to 10 per month) social media, websites, and other online platforms according to the organization's website media/formats.

Design and create production/print-ready products (up to 12) for use in media and public engagements.

Support Public Affairs Officer(s) in review of social media and digital draft and final products (up to 10 per month).

Provide monthly recommendations to the Government regarding ways to improve effectiveness and efficiency of internal and external relations programs aimed at achieving a greater understanding of NAMRU INDO PACIFIC’s mission and programs.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field with at least two years of relevant experience is preferred; English Level 4 skills (fluent speaking, reading, and writing).

At least two (2) years’ experience in creating content for social media platforms, such as, Facebook, and digital publications.

Demonstrated experience in creating clear, precise, and engaging content and graphics for digital postings, publications, and/or print production. Experience in using keywords and hashtags to improve content visibility.

Ability to analyze Facebook Page and Post analytics and to work collaboratively as a team member to create social media content to improve audience reach and engagement.
