Job Description SummarySetup and process wood parts through wood cutting machines.
Job Description:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Obtains work order to determine parts to be processed
Setup, calibrate and changeover machine to print specifications
Feeds wood stock through machine to create specified parts
Monitor machine for proper cutting, drilling, etc.
Repair/remove jams if materials or machine malfunctions
Quality checks parts per WSC VSWI control plan
Reads WSC parts prints, tape measure, caliper, and depth gauges to check specifications
Counts and record part quantities; completes timesheets
Records production tickets to verify work order
Moves finished parts to storage location
Perform Daily/Weekly preventative maintenance tasks
Certified and trained on proper LO/TO procedures.
Follows health and safety standards
Maintains a clean workplace following 5S standards
Performs other tasks as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties
Basic computer skills
Ability to read WSC parts prints, tape measure, caliper, and depth gauges
Mechanical knowledge is preferred to help troubleshoot problems.
Must have the ability to work with computerized equipment.
PIV License as needed
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
