Data Center Technician - MOR Rack Deployments

Job Description

Responsibilities:

MOR Rack Deployment: Install, configure, and maintain MOR racks, ensuring optimal placement and connectivity of networking equipment.

Cabling Management: Manage and organize cabling infrastructure to minimize complexity and ensure efficient data flow.

Equipment Installation: Install servers, switches, and other hardware components within MOR racks.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and network issues related to MOR rack deployments.

Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and inspections to ensure the reliability and performance of MOR racks.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and maintenance activities.

Collaboration: Work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and other IT staff to support data center operations.

Compliance: Adhere to industry standards and best practices for data center operations and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Education: Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: Proven experience in data center operations, with a focus on MOR rack deployments.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in hardware installation, cabling management, and network troubleshooting.

Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco CCNA) are a plus.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks requiring physical exertion.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
