Employment Type: Full-Time, 10-Month Contract

Start Date: August 2025Position Overview:

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our student support team for the 20252026 academic year. This role is vital in promoting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of our students across diverse school settings. The successful candidate will provide direct services, evaluations, and consultative support to educators and families throughout the district.Key Responsibilities:

Conduct prehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret data to inform educational planning and eligibility for special education services.

Collaborate with IEP teams, administrators, teachers, and families to develop student-centered support plans.

Participate in Response to Intervention (RTI), Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).

Deliver short-term counseling and crisis intervention services to support student mental health.

Assist with behavioral assessments and functional behavior intervention planning.

Serve as a resource on best practices in mental health, learning, and behavior within the school context.Required Qualifications:

Active Louisiana Department of Education (DOE) Certification as a School Psychologist.

Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) or Masters degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.

Knowledge of federal and state special education laws, including IDEA and Section 504.

Experience with diverse student populations and urban school settings preferred.

Strong interpersonal, munication, and organizational skills.Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish or Vietnamese) is a plus.

Familiarity with culturally responsive practices and trauma-informed care.

Experience in a New Orleans public or charter school environment.
