Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure that our equipment, machinery, and buildings are in top operating condition. This full-time, hourly position operates Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, and involves working in a modern facility with up-to-date equipment such as forklifts, cranes, beam lines, shears, press brakes, saws, and numerous welding-specific machines.

Responsibilities

Perform routine mechanical preventive maintenance, including greasing, changing belts, checking and changing fluid levels, checking batteries, and replacing filters.

Conduct building maintenance tasks such as managing air lines, ducts, air filters, and repairing buildings as needed, along with sidewalk and exit door snow removal and lawn care.

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleanup tasks.

Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records.

Follow safety standards including OSHA guidelines.

Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes.

Perform electrical repairs and engage in projects involving equipment setup and parts procurement.Essential Skills

Strong technical knowledge of hydraulics, small machines and engines, and vehicles.

Experience in electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Ability to read a tape measure, interpret blueprints, and follow job instructions.

Mechanical aptitude, especially on small engines and hydraulics.

Electrical and pneumatics experience preferred (1 year).

Experience with welding and a Class ‘D’ driver’s license.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of two years of post-secondary education or experience in a similar role.

Mechanical knowledge and aptitude required, especially on small engines and hydraulics.

Ability to lift 50 pounds comfortably, wear a respirator when needed, and pass a physical exam and a drug test.

Dependable and cooperative with high attention to detail.

Able to work independently and manage your day efficiently.

Strong mechanical back ground and critical thinking skills.

Ability to learn new machinery quickly and follow verbal and written instructions.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a manufacturing facility that is very open, consisting of two separate buildings. One building focuses on repeat business, while the other handles more project-based work. Our clean and well-maintained shop follows a regular maintenance schedule, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Courtland, Minnesota.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
