***MUST HAVE WEEKDAY AVAILABILITY FROM 4 P.M.-7 P.M

Lakeside Swim School is a full service Aquatics business located on the North Side of Chicago. We specialize in teaching people to improve their Swimming ability - regardless of their current skill level/. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our team. The responsibilities would include in- water teaching, deck teaching as well as some administrative work. This is part-time to full-time position depending on performance and experience. We are looking for instructors who intend to be apart of the team for the medium to long term. This is not a seasonal/summer position.

Previous Swimming instruction experience and or competitive swimming background is required.

Our clients expect consistency with instructors, Lakeside Swim School requires all new instructors to have fixed schedules for the 3 months at a time. Coaches who change their availability regularly will not be a good fit.

Teach children (ages 3+) and adults water survival skills and improve stroke techniques per the Lakeside Swim School curriculum.

· Follow swim lesson plans as provided by Head Coach.

· Adjust teaching to ages and abilities of swimmers (ages 3+).

· Be an engaging and active coach, demonstrating techniques, during lessons and providing positive reinforcement and progress reports to swimmers and parent (if child swimmer).

· Return all equipment to its proper place after lesson.

· Adhere to and enforce all facility policies, rules, and regulations.

· Report directly to Head Coach and Office Manager.

· Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisors

Coaches that work 35 hours a week or more will be eligible to a health insurance stipend and Paid - time off.

** New hires will be expected to have at least 3 days of availability with one of the days being a Saturday or Sunday starting at 8am and ending at 2pm

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.25 per hour
