Dispatcher Job Description: Schedule and dispatch drivers, equipment, or service vehicles for conveyance of materials, freight, or passengers.

Duties may include using radio, telephone, or computer to transmit assignments and compiling statistics and reports on work progress.

Truck dispatchers are responsible for driver and trip scheduling and all driver communication while they are on the job.

They communicate information about traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns, and/or delivery issues.

They are also expected to keep track of all shipping and delivery details and plan routes that will ultimately save the drivers time and the company money.

Diesel Mechanic Job Description: Diagnose, adjust, repair, and maintain diesel engines, tractors, and tractor trailers.

Duties may include inspecting mechanical components of vehiclesto identify problems, adjust vehicle components according to specifications, select tools, equipment, or technologies for use in operations or projects, and operate and test equipment to ensure proper functioning.
