Medix Infusion is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Intake Clerk to join our team. In this crucial administrative role, you will manage a high volume of intake requests, ensuring a seamless process for our patients and healthcare providers. We offer personalized home and in-suite infusion therapies, ensuring convenience and comfort. Our expert team provides a comprehensive range of treatments, including anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectables, making each patient's journey as smooth as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Prioritize and manage intake responsibilities, including queuing fax requests.
Respond to electronic referrals by creating new patient records/intake forms and routing them appropriately.
Review hard copy paperwork for new and existing patients, directing documents to relevant team members.
Scan, upload, and organize documents with precision.
Complete follow-up tasks as assigned.
Ensure work is completed promptly to prevent delays in patient care.
Attend departmental meetings and in-services as requested.
Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
Demonstrate courteous, compassionate, and professional behavior always.
Proficiently use Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Word, and Excel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years of experience in a healthcare environment supporting intake and scheduling team members.
Proven ability to create and maintain accurate, timely, and compliant case records.
Strong customer service skills with a passion for delivering a positive patient experience.
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Candidates will be required to complete a Predictive Index Assessment as part of the recruitment process.
