Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Technical Product Manager that is responsible for leading the product vision, strategy, and execution of the ELERA Platform—TGCS’s next-generation POS software.
This individual bridges deep technical understanding with strong business acumen, translating market needs and customer requirements into actionable development strategies. Working across cross-functional teams, including engineering, architecture, UX, marketing, and services, the TPLM owns the platform roadmap and champions a modular, scalable, cloud-compatible platform approach.
This role requires a strong grasp of enterprise software architecture (especially hybrid and SaaS deployments), agile product ownership, and technical leadership across services, integrations, APIs, and development lifecycle planning. The TPLM also plays a critical role in modernizing legacy systems, aligning internal stakeholders, and ensuring platform readiness to support new vertical solutions and customer implementations.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and business innovation. You’ll focus on creating breakthrough solutions that accelerate customer growth and revenue, turning big ideas into measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Define, prioritize, and communicate platform roadmap and backlog based on market needs, technical strategy, and business goals
Lead cross-functional technical teams through agile ceremonies, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, and release planning
Serve as a subject matter expert for the ELERA platform architecture and integration approach
Collaborate with product development, architecture, and services teams to drive technical execution and solution readiness
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather and validate business and technical requirements
Drive the evolution of the platform to support new features, extensibility, and scalability
Contribute to go-to-market planning, competitive analysis, and enablement of internal teams
Required Skills and Background:
8+ years of experience in product management, software development, or technical leadership roles
Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, cloud platforms (ie. Azure), SaaS models, Java, microservices, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and APIs
Experience managing hybrid deployments (on-prem and cloud), with emphasis on scalable platform design
Agile leadership experience, particularly acting as a Product Owner with proven success in leading scrum teams through product lifecycle
Proficient in utilizing AI-driven solutions to assist in the creation and optimization of functional and technical requirements
Strong ability to write clear, actionable requirements and break down complex systems into manageable components
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike
Strong cross-functional collaboration, influencing without authority, and stakeholder alignment
Experience driving go-to-market readiness, working with sales, services, and marketing teams
Experience working with and a solid understanding of non-relational databases such as MongoDB
Self-starter with a hands-on approach, able to independently explore, test, and validate product functionality—especially in resource-constrained environments
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related discipline
Demonstrated success in managing global software releases in fast-paced, agile settings.
Technical background with hands-on engineering or systems integration experience
Familiarity with the retail technology space, POS platforms, and omnichannel commerce systems
