What you'll be doing:

Lead and promote a positive safety culture through example, including following site rules, wearing proper PPE, and exercising 'Stop the Job' authority when unsafe conditions are observed

Perform proactive and reactive maintenance tasks, including fault diagnosis and repairs on equipment and mobile plant, while following risk assessments and method statements

Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to avoid equipment breakdowns and maintain optimal plant performance

Participate in health and safety monitoring through inspections, meetings, and incident reporting

Manage equipment calibration records and monitor essential data from flow meters and instruments

Support emergency response outside normal hours and assist with statutory inspections, contractor management, and parts inventory control

What we're looking for:

Trade qualified in Mechanical and Electrical and instrumentation

Recognised apprenticeship in EC&I / Mechanical Engineering or technical qualifications - City & Guilds / NVQ (or equivalent)

An effective communicator with experience in relationship management

Ability to anticipate and adapt to problems

Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail

Knowledge of the wastewater industry would be desirable
