\n \nRespiratory Therapist\n\n\tSalary Range: $89,000 - $113,000 annually \n\t$10,000 sign-on bonus w/ experience \n\t6:30pm-6:45am, 13 shifts per month, Monday -Friday, alternating w/e and holidays \n\t27+ days PTO \n\tMedical/Dental/Vision/Life \n\tRetirement Plans \n\n\n \nPosition Summary: \nThe Respiratory Therapist provides all aspects of respiratory therapy to both in-patients and outpatients.

They will collaborate with patients, family/significant others, peers, physicians and other members of the healthcare team.

The Respiratory Therapist assesses patient’s respiratory needs, plans care, implements and evaluates respiratory therapy in accordance with hospital philosophy, policies/procedures and standards.\n\n \nJob Duties\n\n\n\tInitiation and monitoring of mechanical ventilation; invasive and non-invasive.

\n\tConducts various types of breathing therapy and patient assessment.

\n\tPerforms postural drainage, percussion and bronchial hygiene techniques.

\n\tPerforms bedside pulmonary function.

\n\tCarries out blood gas puncture and analysis, blood gas analyzer operator maintenance and quality control.

\n\tResponds to cardiac arrest and Rapid Response situations.

Performs CPR.

\n\tAfter demonstrating competency will be certified in emergency endotracheal intubation of adult patients.

\n\tPerforms all other related duties as assigned \n\nRequirements\n\n\n\tMust be a graduate of an approved program of Respiratory Therapy.

\n\tMust hold a current and valid New York State Respiratory Therapy license.

Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) \n\tMust hold a current BLS/CPR certification.

\n\t1 year + hospital experience required \n\tPFT experience preferred \n\tNRP and ACLS are strongly recommended\n\n Stability Direct Job ID #5341.
