Application Performance Engineer (Dynatrace / Zabbix / Splunk)

*Remote Contract-to-Hire Opportunity*

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Application Performance Monitoring (APM) Engineer position focused on hands on Zabbix and Dynatrace support! This is a 6+ month contract-to-hire opportunity and will be remote in the United States (EST working hours). This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.

What You'll Be Doing:

HANDS ON Install, configure, and maintain Zabbix, Dynatrace, Foglight, Splunk, and CloudWatch monitoring tools.

Work with application teams to define thresholds and configure alerts.

Perform daily operations such as release management, health checks, log analysis, and alert reviews.

Conduct trend and prediction analysis and tune system alerts.

Create custom Splunk dashboards and scripts for application monitoring.

Support Kubernetes monitoring using Dynatrace and maintain AWS monitoring via CloudWatch.

Upgrade and patch monitoring infrastructure.

Support incident response and participate in troubleshooting calls.

Collaborate across teams for root cause analysis and proactive system improvements.

Manage service requests within defined SLAs and communicate status updates clearly.

Leverage Azure DevOps for tracking PBIs and task assignments. What You'll Need to Have:

8+ years of experience as a Performance Monitoring Engineer.

HANDS ON Expertise in Zabbix, Dynatrace, Splunk, Foglight, and AWS CloudWatch.

Proficient in Shell scripting and PowerShell.

Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models.

Solid understanding of Windows and Linux platforms.

Experience with SQL, DB concepts, and microservices architecture.

Experience with Azure DevOps.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Ability to multitask, think critically, and communicate technical concepts to varied audiences.

Pay Range: $50-$60/hr +
