POSITION SUMMARY:

The E-Commerce Director will oversee the brand's website and lead the implementation of innovative digital marketing campaigns aimed at maximizing revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction through an enhanced shopping experience. This strategic leader will collaborate closely with Merchandising, Inventory Planning, Information Technology, and Creative teams to drive the e-commerce business forward.

Key responsibilities include managing promotion planning, optimizing site functionalities, ensuring the effective display of product assets, and enhancing internal site tools. The E-Commerce Director will also craft a compelling look and feel that reflects the brand's positioning. Additionally, this role will develop and execute strategies leveraging email marketing, affiliate partnerships, paid and organic search, and other digital marketing avenues to drive demand and return on investment (ROI). This position will also involve directing and training a dedicated team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor site and digital marketing performance, tracking web demand by product and category to make informed adjustments to e-merchandising and digital marketing plans.

Work closely with Merchandising, Inventory Planning, and Creative Services to create brand-driven emails, homepage designs, and social media campaigns that highlight key products, trends, and themes aligned with business initiatives.

Analyze data and conduct usability testing to identify opportunities for enhancing the customer experience, optimizing demand, margin, and conversion rates.

Focus on maximizing online revenue and ROI from digital marketing programs by increasing customer retention and acquiring new customers within defined acquisition cost goals.

Lead the e-commerce and digital marketing team in:

Executing and testing all site refreshes according to established schedules.

Requesting and proofreading all campaign copy and images for accuracy and alignment with brand messaging.

Driving digital marketing performance across all tactics to achieve Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) targets.

Conduct external analyses of e-commerce industry trends, competitor initiatives, and consumer needs through both primary and secondary research methods.

Attend product review meetings to gain a clear understanding of brand positioning and translate that knowledge into optimized website performance.

Identify business opportunities and risks by analyzing sales data and marketplace information, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.

Collaborate with Digital Marketing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on content-related SEO and SEM initiatives to enhance brand visibility and drive organic traffic. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree or higher.

7 - 10 years of E-Commerce or Digital Marketing experience and thorough understanding of the retail industry

Possess an ability to create and drive brand marketing and digital strategies

Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating data and campaign performance to provide actionable recommendations

Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and develop high performing teams

Profound knowledge and experience of digital marketing campaigns

Demonstrated presentation, verbal and written communication skills

Ability to thrive in a fast paced, cross-functional environment while juggling multiple responsibilities

Strong leadership and collaboration skills, ability to listen and contribute as a positive and solution-oriented team player

Ability to think strategically and proactively problem solve

Experience with Salesforce Demandware platform (or similar)
