THE OPPORTUNITY:

Coordinates with and assists the DC Supervisors with Distribution Center operations activities for the functional areas assigned to this role. This function is also contributes to efforts to ensure the distribution center maintains a culture that encompasses NMG's core values and team member development. This role will have hours of 9:00am - 5:30pm M - F with Overtime Opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supports and reinforces Mission Vision communications and objectives to drive company culture

Transfer and Sales Order ticket management

Review accuracy of pick, pack, and receiving functions for transfer orders

Effective communication with Transtar distribution network surrounding shipment pallet quantity, tracking numbers, line count, any other unique requirements.

Communication with vendors regarding receiving discrepancies

Assists DC Operations ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements regarding hazardous material, storage requirements, and reporting agencies.

Assisting with inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory

Communicates risk of late shipment(s) to Outbound Supervisory staff

Manages shipment workload documents for efficient shipment schedule

Identifies opportunities for improvement

Creates shipment BOL utilizing TMS system, communicates with Transportation to ensure cost efficient modes of transportation KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Experience - 2-3 year of warehouse experience

Minimum Education - High School Diploma

Required Certifications (if applicable) - N/A

Required Qualifications - Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and modern Warehouse Management technology PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred Experience - 4/5 years warehouse/shipping experience

Preferred Education - Associates Degree

Preferred Certifications - 5s Six Sigma experience

Or any combination of relevant education and experience to meet the above requirements SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Soft skills needed

Able to communicate in a fast paced warehouse environment

WORK ENVIROMENT:

This individual will be working in a Distribution Center/Warehouse environment, collaborating with team members, vendors, and other Managers within the facility. Depending on the assigned location, the facility is shared with the Sales Team and other business entities of the Company.
