Lumina is looking for a Senior Field Operations Manager to join our Residential team in Pennsylvania.

The Senior Field Operations Manager will play a key role in overseeing our solar field operations, leading the management of field crews, electrical installation quality, and overall project execution. This individual will ensure residential solar projects meet performance, safety, and code standards, provide technical training and support to field teams, and coordinate closely with leadership to drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Oversee field crews and manage day-to-day operations for the Residential department, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards

Review project documents, plans, and specifications; direct and align teams while resolving challenges and coordinating field installations

Conduct daily morning huddles to align teams on project goals, safety expectations, and task assignments

Coordinate project logistics, including specialty part ordering, equipment rentals, and resource allocation

Manage and resolve escalated field issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction and timely project completion

Respond to urgent field matters during off-hours or weekends as necessary to maintain project momentum

Conduct regular field check-ins to verify compliance with NEC, OSHA, and Lumina's quality and safety standards

Approve timesheets, manage PTO, and maintain workforce schedules and coverage

Evaluate team performance and provide feedback, coaching, and development plans to drive continuous improvement

Provide technical oversight and mentorship, including hands-on training and troubleshooting for electrical and installation teams

Lead hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions to build and maintain a high-performing team

Ensure vehicle and warehouse/material readiness to reduce delays and maximize field efficiency

Maintain regular communication with the Regional Director of Field Operations on project updates, team management, and forecasting

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize operations, manage resources, and deliver a seamless customer experience from initiation to completion

Partner with the Safety Director to enforce OSHA and NEC standards and promote a safety-first culture across all teams

Stay current with NEC updates, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and team preparedness

Attend cross-functional and management meetings, and participate in ongoing education and training programs to stay informed on industry advancements and maintain professional development

Work with senior leadership to develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company objectives

Analyze field operations data to identify trends and recommend improvements that enhance productivity and efficiency

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support project success and overall operational excellence Experience Required:

5+ years of experience in managing field operations for residential solar projects

5+ years of hands-on electrical experience, with a strong understanding of both AC and DC systems

Journeyman's or Master Electrician license is highly preferred

Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and a demonstrated ability to ensure code-compliant installations

Ability to read and interpret electrical line drawings, building plans, and equipment manuals

Strong understanding of residential solar systems and components, including inverters, batteries, electrical panels, and wiring systems

Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and solar panel installations, and guide teams through the resolution of technical challenges in the field

Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds repeatedly in various field conditions

Comfortable using computers, smartphones, and tablets for communication, job documentation, scheduling, and software tools

Experience with GSuite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets) for collaboration, document management, and data tracking

Proven track record of reliable attendance and commitment to job-site readiness

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound, informed decisions in the field

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing team dynamics and addressing various operational challenges

Must pass a drug screening and background check as a condition of employment
