The Position:
Coordinates the operational activities of MAVPAK's 82nd Street Warehouse, involving shipping, receiving, inventory control, quality, training, and safety.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversees the daily workflow of the department
Trains new and departmental staff Duties/Responsibilities
Embraces and promotes the MAVPAK core values: Serve, Own It, Improve, Be Humble, and Evolve
Prioritizes and plans Warehouse operational activities; adapts to changing conditions
Ensures all Associates are following safety protocols and proactively address realized or potential safety concerns
Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time
Processes and manages paperwork including BOLs, labels, and orders
Organizes or schedules Warehouse Associates and their tasks according to volume
Monitors for quality control; corrects issues or escalates to the Warehouse Manager as appropriate
Identifies and resolves problems through root cause and corrective action (RCCA) analysis
Plans for next day success and tracks the progress of work in progress
Shares expertise with Warehouse Associates through training and coaching; trains new Associates on processes, procedures, and MAVPAK culture
Writes and updates work instructions as needed
Promotes and models open communication among the Warehouse and other MAVPAK teams
Monitors KPIs, including pallets per hour (PPH) and quality
Documents, tracks, and addresses all issues of non-conformance
Consistently looks for opportunities to improve processes and quality
Communicates directly with customers when necessary
Travel to other MAVPAK locations may occasionally be required

High school diploma or equivalent required
Three + years of relevant warehouse experience
Ability to operate equipment and train equipment operators
Has an understanding of basic OSHA and operational safety standards
Verbal and written communication skills
Intermediate proficiency in the English language: the ability to read & interpret work instructions, and safety rules; write routine reports & correspondences; speak before small groups of customers or staff
Motivated, energetic, and growth-oriented
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Reader, Fishbowl ERP/WMS, Box, and other relevant applications Physical Demands and Work Environment
Most of the work takes place in a warehouse environment with moderate to loud noise
Periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
Machinery frequently used includes forklifts and pallet jacks
Continually required to hear, use hand and finger dexterity, operate machinery, and near moving mechanical parts
Frequently required to talk, stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms
Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work in high, precarious places
Specific vision abilities required for this job include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
