Job Title: Event Assistant in Training; Event Assistant
Tier: 1; 2
Location: Talley Student Union and Witherspoon Student Center
Supervision: Reports to Kyle Levine, Production Manager
Work Schedule: Event-based schedule; 10-20 hours per week between 7am and 1am; includes nights and weekends; occasionally special hours apply
Compensation: Minimum starting wage for Event Assistant In Training is $10.00/hr and starting wage for Events Assistant is $10.75/hr with opportunity for raises based on years of service within Campus Enterprises. Student Centers employees are eligible for an end-of-semester bonus.
Essential functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Setup, strike, clean, and report events in State Ballroom, Cinema, Harris Field, and Stafford Commons according to standard operating procedures
Setup and strike all AV equipment for event according to Mazevo and 7PointOps
Assist client in making any changes to the event setup.
Handle AV equipment with care and precision:
Soundboards/Light boards
Handheld microphones/Lapel microphones & microphone stands
PC computers & Mac computers
Speakers & speaker stands
Projectors/TVs
Portable lights & stage lights
Troubleshoot and report issues to Technical Coordinator and AV Coordinator in timely manner Campus Enterprises Employee Expectations

Ability to carry, push, pull, and roll up to 40 pounds

Attend mandatory staff meetings, student employee orientation, and training sessions
