Are you passionate about shaping a Christ-centered student experience that inspires growth, belonging, and purpose? Cornerstone Christian Schools is looking for a strategic and relational leader to serve as our Student Development Director,a position that plays a vital role in guiding students from their first inquiry through graduation.

The Student Development Director provides visionary leadership for student retention, admissions, academic advising, and co-curricular programming. This role is responsible for ensuring that every phase of a student's journey is cohesive, mission-aligned, and purposefully designed to nurture the whole person - spiritually, academically, and socially.

From campus tours to class schedules to student celebrations, the Student Development Director leads the team that makes the student experience seamless and impactful.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic oversight of the Advancement & Advisement Specialists, ensuring their work in admissions, academic advising, and co-curricular coordination aligns with school mission and standards.

Actively support the team by assisting with key responsibilities-such as tours, family onboarding, event planning, and student advisement-as needed to balance workload and model excellence.

Oversee the admissions and enrollment process, ensuring that recruitment, tours, and onboarding activities are mission-aligned and effectively executed.

Contribute to admissions efforts during high-volume seasons by meeting with prospective families, participating in events, or guiding enrollment discussions when needed.

Monitor retention data and collaborate with staff to develop strategies that enhance the student experience and promote long-term success.

Ensure academic advising systems are in place to support course planning, transitions, and intervention strategies for students.

Maintain an active understanding of advising processes and student needs, stepping in when appropriate to assist with advising conversations or problem-solving.

Provide leadership and vision for co-curricular programming, ensuring offerings contribute to holistic student development and reflect the school's values.

Support the Co-Curricular Coordinator and team members in the planning and execution of events, student celebrations, and program logistics.

Participate in the planning and facilitation of student activities or events to ensure quality and consistency.

Guide the development of school-wide student celebrations, traditions, and campus events that build community and promote student engagement.

Personally contribute to event planning and execution during peak seasons or when additional leadership presence is needed.

Serve as a member of the school's leadership team, contributing to school-wide planning and initiatives related to the student experience.

Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and ministry leaders to align academic, spiritual, and co-curricular goals.

Monitor and analyze enrollment, retention, student engagement, and program participation data to identify trends, assess program effectiveness, and inform strategic decisions that enhance the student experience and support long-term school vitality.

Perform additional duties as needed to support the ministry and its objectives. Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Education, Student Development, School Administration, or related field preferred

Master's degree in Educational Leadership or a related field is desirable.

Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in admissions, academic advising, student life, or a related educational role. Skills and Abilities

Ability to inspire, organize, and lead teams toward achieving a Christ-centered, vibrant student experience.

Strong interpersonal skills to engage students, families, faculty, and staff with warmth, professionalism, and clarity.

Skill in designing, executing, and expanding programs that align with the school's mission and support both student and organizational goals.

Knowledge of enrollment management best practices, coupled with the ability to personally guide families through admissions and academic advisement processes.

Organizational ability to manage multiple programs and events simultaneously, ensuring excellence in execution and collaboration across departments.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, employees will frequently be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 15 pounds occasionally, and more than 40 pounds infrequently with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
