Job Summary:

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading the design and development of complex electrical systems across a variety of design/build projects. This role requires both hands-on technical expertise and strong project leadership skills. The ideal candidate will be proficient in power system design, equipment procurement, and client interfacing, contributing to the delivery of turnkey power solutions.

Job Duties:

• Prepare detailed preliminary electrical designs for design/build projects across diverse industries

• Design and specify power systems including load calculations, one-line diagrams, equipment sizing/selection, equipment layouts, lighting photometrics, and system controls

• Guide internal design efforts and collaborate with a national network of consultants to execute projects

• Perform arc flash and coordination studies using SKM Power Tools

• Support procurement efforts for major electrical equipment including switchgear, generators, and UPS systems

• Assist in business development efforts by identifying and implementing creative electrical solutions for complex client needs

• Conduct value engineering and propose alternate design solutions for cost-effective project delivery

• Serve as the technical electrical expert in communications with clients, contractors, and vendors

• Uphold the companyâ s values and commitment to customer satisfaction through integrity and quality performance

Qualifications:

• Bachelorâ s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field

• 7 to 20 years of electrical engineering/design experience

• Experience with BIM tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks preferred

• Familiar with electrical engineering analysis tools such as ETAP and SKM

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Experience in an electrical engineering design consultancy is preferred

• Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred; support available for EIT and PE licensure

• Experience developing custom design tools or scripts (e.g., spreadsheets, automation) is a plus
