Title: NHG Regional Operations Manager Location: United States-Florida-Pensacola Job Number: 250001HR Job Summary: Manages and executes NHG strategies and operational plans, develops teams, achieves financial goals and ensures compliance with brand standards within a designated geographic region.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Provides operational support and guidance to installations within the geographical region.
- Enforce NHG and NEXCOM policy and procedures.
- Ensure the quality of product aligns with brand standards.
- Conducts quarterly/semi-annual Advisory visits of all regional properties ensuring compliance.
- Develops and manages any POA&M for the installations following annual QAA inspection.
Provides follow up.
- Evaluates monthly P&L to ensure they reflect correctly on each properties occupancy and revenue.
- Familiar with each local installation and market within the region.
- Ensures maximum and full utilization of all facilities, equipment, resources and personnel within region.
- Monitors customer comments and institutes corrective action as require for installations.
- Input and partner in facilities planning.
- Responsible for guest service and satisfaction.
- Responsible for management and staff development.
- Ensures staff are properly trained and trainings in place.
- Responsible for Inventory Management.
- Manages all installation level training requirements and ensures compliance and NHG training certifications complete.
Provides input to HQ training department.
- Monitors staffing and operational standards to control cost and efficiency.
- Assists with the review of capital improvement projects and ensuring that NHG standards are followed.
- Completes Team Evaluation inputs.
- Provides inputs on marketing strategies.
- Provides direction on Inventory management and accountability.
- Develops POA&M in conjunction with General Manager and RVP.
- Manages ASI survey results for the region and ensures compliance/follow up.
- Assists with the development of the annual region budget while working with the GM.
- Fills in at the installations in the absence of GM when other leadership is not available.
- Performs the full range of direct and indirect supervisory responsibilities over assigned direct reports.
- Position requires in-state and out-of-state travel 50% of time during the year.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Candidates must be eligible for and obtain a Secret Clearance, within 6 months of appointment.
Failure to obtain will result in termination.
The incumbent of this position must file a Financial Disclosure Report (OGE) Form 450, as required.
Qualifications: A total of at least 7 years of experience consisting of the following: GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of experience performing responsible work in hotel operations/hospitality industry that enabled the applicant to gain a background in operational practices; skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships, and the ability to exercise mature judgment.
OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR GENERAL EXPERIENCE: 1 year of academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience, up to a maximum of a 4-year bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or other related field for 3 years of general experience.
AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience that provided an in-depth knowledge of hotel/motel or institutional management or other related service industry management and operations.
Such experience should include background in most of the following: procurement of supplies and equipment, operational efficiency, sanitation, internal finance controls, budgeting, staffing, room design and decorating; or similar work which demonstrated the knowledge and abilities of the operational area and at least three (3) year's experience as a hotel general manager responsible for daily operations, marketing, financial performance, administration, guest relations, personnel, marketing, etc.
