We are looking for an Operational Plant Manager to oversee the efficient and seamless operations of our two warehouses, supporting our expanding retail network.
About The Role
Wren Kitchens is seeking an Operational Plant Manager for our Sugar Notch, PA warehouses. The team behind Wren Kitchens has been an industry leader in kitchen manufacturing for both the UK and US markets for over 35 years and has now become one of the Northeast's fastest growing designers, manufacturers and retailers of fully assembled kitchen cabinets.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure consistent adherence to quality standards across all areas of the site.
Promote and enforce a safe working environment by ensuring all employees follow company policies and applicable regulations.
Facilitate seamless communication across departments and other facilities to ensure operational efficiency.
Collaborate with the Head of Manufacturing and department leaders to identify and resolve performance issues or discrepancies.
Lead the implementation of operational changes in coordination with management and manufacturing teams across all company sites.
Oversee full-cycle employee management, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
Manage and deliver both long-term strategic projects and short-term tactical initiatives as directed by senior leadership.
Support all business functions, promoting teamwork and alignment toward operational goals.
Provide ongoing support and motivation to department managers and supervisors to help them meet production targets.
Assume responsibility for all departmental managers and supervisors, with decision-making authority on operational staffing and performance.
Address quality concerns and customer complaints by collaborating with department leaders to implement corrective actions.
Assist in financial oversight by supporting the development and review of budgets and working to improve operational profitability.
Represent the company in a professional, positive manner at all times.
Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety procedures and protocols.
Maintain care and proper use of all equipment and materials related to operational functions.
Engage in continuous professional development to improve leadership and technical capabilities. About You
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in a senior operation or plant management role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership and team development skills with a hands-on, collaborative management style.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities across all organizational levels.
High level of initiative with the ability to make decisions and drive implementation to completion.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities.
Knowledge of continuous improvement practices such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen is a plus.
Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
Effective planning, organizational, and time-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
