CAD Designer

Our client specializes in the manufacture and distribution of engineered precast concrete products for various infrastructure markets across North America. They are searching for a CAD Designer to join their team ASAP!

Salary:

$55-75k base salary (flexible/based on experience) + full comprehensive benefits

Job Summary:

The CAD Designer I is responsible for product design and drafting of precast concrete panels for residential buildings and precast utility products using CAD software. Provide basic knowledge on general building construction and precast concrete products.

Job Responsibilities:

Produce precast concrete panelized-home designs and detailing using AutoCAD or AutoCAD Architecture.

Create submittal packages, proposal drawings and production drawing sets.

Produce Bill of Materials from Manufacturing Instructions and drawings.

Provide continual improvement suggestions as part of a collaborative team.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Drafter Certification preferred

Experience in concrete design and/or residential design

Proficient in the use of Autodesk products (AutoCAD or AutoCAD Architecture)

Understanding of drafting standards & principles

Intermediate ability with Microsoft Excel (formulas, hyperlinks, sorting and searching data).

Must be a self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision

Working knowledge of mathematical concepts (calculate volumes, simple load calculations, metric equivalents, drawing scales)

Must be detail oriented

Ability to work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment

Desire to continue to grow and develop
