Position Highlights
We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to provide supports for Business Office which includes Financial transaction processing. We are seeking someone with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, initiative, and organization; accuracy and attention to detail; use of good judgment; an ability to set priorities and handle multiple projects with limited supervision; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and a high degree of computer proficiency.

Duties & Responsibilities
Review transactions for completeness following university policy and procedures ensuring that all
necessary backup documentation is provided.
Communicating with internal staff via email, phone, and/or Teams for additionalquestions regarding transactions ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Reconcile and process financial transactions using UAccess systems including payroll
Process accounting transactions related to funding distributions, salary expense transfer, disbursement vouchers, general error corrections, and other journal entries
Prepare cash receipts
Prepare travel authorizations and disbursement vouchers for travel expense reimbursements, travel advances and general expenses
Process and reconciliation PCard transactions.
Keep informed of university policies and procedures to ensure expenditure compliance
Prepare UA Foundation Paperwork; gift transmittals/disbursements, reimbursement
Process Financial Aid transaction and reconcile to student accounts.
Process subaward invoices for grants and contracts Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
