The Process Engineer will lead site-based process engineering projects and activities that drive continuous improvement, resolve chronic manufacturing issues, introduce new products or re-site existing products. This position also supports and deploys GBU wide best practices and manufacturing standards along with supporting new capital investments and technology common across Composite Materials Manufacturing sites. This role will be involved in the launch of a new production facility.

RESPONSIBITIES:

Lead site-based process engineering projects and activities that drive continuous improvement, resolve chronic manufacturing issues, introduce new products or re-site existing products.

Promote an observable culture of process safety, quality, and customer service within their organizational control.

Support short-term tactical requests from the site-based team while managing long-term strategic projects set forth by the global process engineering team.

Lead efforts and projects in line with site and business strategy for growth.

Lead digital transformation efforts on site.

Performs feasibility studies for process improvements. Includes assessment of current equipment capabilities, HSE issues, and capital requirements

Propose and document trial plans, results and data analysis in a timely manner using advanced problem solving tools such as Six Sigma and routinely share learnings with stakeholders.

Works toward establishing statistical process control processes. Identifies areas of variation (raw materials, process, or quality analysis), implements measures to reduce variation, and tracks effectiveness of reduction measures.

Analyzes process data and quality critical parameters for control of manufacturing processes. Troubleshoots problem areas and identifies measures for improvement.

Identifies and implements process optimization improvements.

Supports identifying root cause, reports findings, and implements corrective actions.

Manages defining scope and technical solutions to feed capital projects associated with unit.

Responsible for determining justification, scope definition, safety reviews, 'punch-list' items, coordination of implementation with production schedule, startup, chemical commissioning and performance report on agreed deliverables.

Utilize management of change for applicable situations.

Influence people's opinions, attitudes, and judgments and demonstrate the ability to compromise opinion to develop the best solution for the issue. QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors of Science (Engineering Preferred)

5-10 years of experience in quality/manufacturing/process engineering

Previous experience in quality/process engineering function in chemical manufacturing environment

Continuous improvement background with demonstrated experience in problem solving and root cause analysis

Preferably has experience in composite material / adhesive material manufacturing or other similar continuous web process industries (paper, film, foil, or textile industries)

Six Sigma Black Belt certification (preferred)

Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task

Understanding of quality systems, ISO9001/AS9100 requirements

Understanding of manufacturing processes and the value chain

Understanding of key operational metrics and communicate across organizations to achieve clear alignment and focus

Understanding of processes to engage cross-functional teams to solve quality and process capability problems

Data driven, strong analytical skill set COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

Competitive salary and benefits package

The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $108,000 to $135,000 per year, commensurate with experience and skills

Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives

16, or more weeks, of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations

Flexibility to travel to other locations and work outside normal working hours as required by the projects.

Travel will be 5 - 30% for the first year increasing to 50% by end of 2025. Potential for temporary reassignment after first year.
