Job Description
Responsibilities:
Lead daily production meetings with the plating group and coordinate factory-wide downtime planning.
Serve as the liaison between planning and plating to align staffing and equipment capacity with short- and long-term business demands.
Oversee and support shift supervisors and logistics/operations staff, ensuring daily WIP movement and coverage gaps are addressed.
Develop and maintain operational metrics, including cycle time, throughput, cost, and machine utilization, with regular reporting.
Drive capacity planning, cycle time improvements, and inventory level optimization.
Communicate plating status, shutdowns, and maintenance to relevant departments.
Track and prioritize critical customer and engineering jobs, ensuring on-time delivery.
Create and use cost models to assess efficiency and recommend operational improvements.
Recommend and implement staffing plans based on forecasted volume and operational needs.

The Successful Applicant
Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or Management.
8+ years of experience in high-tech manufacturing production environments.
Background in both new product introduction (NPI) and high-volume manufacturing.
Proficient in using ERP systems for production and operations management.
Strong track record of recruiting, training, and developing high-performing teams.
Skilled in implementing world-class manufacturing practices like SPC, Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and 8D.
Proven ability to lead teams through change and drive continuous improvement.
