Summary: Prepares and paints surfaces of buildings, furniture, and any other surface. Uses appropriate techniques and judgement consistent with Director's expectations.
Essential Job Functions: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Installs and repairs covered wall and ceiling surfaces
Maintains and repairs caulked, grouted, masonry, tile, or other exterior components.
At times needed provide instructions and/or teaches techniques to other painters.
Maintains clean and orderly work areas and ensures furniture in shop is has as necessary.
Examine and maintain painted exterior and interior painted surfaces, trimming and fixtures
Prepare surfaces and apply paints, stains, shading stains, and clear finishes
Inspect and refurbish wall surfaces by means of the appropriate materials
Drywall removal, replace & repair.
Maintain paint supplies and materials
Apply wood finishing by suitably preparing surface
Submit finished work orders to supervisor
Provide assistance to semi-skilled or unskilled workers
Operate and maintain various power and manual tools
Follow established protection procedures
Clean up job site after work and return equipment and tools
Maintain a clean work environment.
Remove and apply caulking
Knowledge of wallpaper application and repair would be a plus
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day/night shifts, weekends and holidays Requirements:

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands: While performing duties of this job, the team member regularly is required to stand; use hands to finger or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear in person or on a radio. The team member occasionally is required to climb or balance; stoop, bend, squat, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Requires ability to lift up to 80-150 pounds occasionally throughout the work week but may lift 30 - 40 pounds intermittently during work shift.
Work Environment: Working outside and inside the resort. Ability to work exposed to heat, sunlight, rain, and cold. I might work daylight or nighttime hours. Working with cleaning equipment and chemicals depending on the task.
