Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Automation Engineer with a strong background in JavaScript and Node.js-based automation frameworks, especially Jest. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining automated testing infrastructure, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous delivery in a fast-paced development environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using Node.js and Jest frameworks.

Apply JavaScript asynchronous patterns (promises, async/await) to create reliable and performant test cases.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable test cases.

Collaborate with development and QA teams to define test strategies and identify automation opportunities.

Create and maintain automated regression test suites to ensure continuous quality.

Optimize database interactions within tests, including implementing DB connection pooling to improve performance.

Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), ensuring automated test execution on every build.

Work with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and DevOps to support quality-first development cycles.

(Optional but preferred) Contribute to or maintain automation frameworks using Java tools like Cucumber. Required Skills & Qualifications:

6+ years of experience in test automation using JavaScript/Node.js.

Solid experience with Jest or similar JavaScript testing frameworks.

Strong understanding of asynchronous JavaScript patterns and how to apply them in testing.

Hands-on experience integrating automation tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with REST API testing, test data management, and debugging.

Proficient in writing clean, reusable, and scalable test scripts.

Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

Understanding of SQL and ability to optimize database interactions in automated tests. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Java-based test automation tools, particularly Cucumber.

Exposure to financial products or experience working in the fintech domain.

Knowledge of containerized environments (e.g., Docker) and cloud CI/CD tools.
