This individual will report under the Finance Department and serve as the business partner to the Ship Repair Program Management team. This analyst shall support active contracts in. Prepares reports that compare budgets with actual expenses. Monitors and controls costs and schedules. Performs analyses and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines. Prepares budgets and schedules and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as variance analysis. Prepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled. Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks. May recommend, design, or develop revisions to the cost reporting system.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with program managers, control account manager, and cross-functional partners.
Utilize Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles to proactively support contracts in execution.
Forecast financial metrics, develop program baselines, and manage Estimates-to-Complete (EACs).
Manage and present analytical data to internal and external customers, including variance analysis and forecasts.
Supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements both internally and externally as required.
Carry out miscellaneous financial analysis as required and continually assess and improving financial reporting processes.

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related degree with 4 years work or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Experience with and a strong understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles.
Experience as a program control analyst, program finance and/or other finance functional disciplines particularly in the management of large government acquisition contracts.
Aptitude in project forecasting and analysis, particularly in a US Defense environment.
Demonstrated problem solving and in-depth analytical skills.
Ability to communicate and present financial data to other functions in an accurate, concise, and understandable manner.
Strong interpersonal skills to influence diverse work teams.
Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast paced environment.
Ability to make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures.
Preferred Skills and Education
Possesses program control or finance experience in the aerospace/defense industry.
Experience with Excel macros, VBA, and queries.
Experience in Deltek, Cost Point, SAP, or other equivalent accounting software.
Experience with Hyperion and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
Experience with Cobra, MPM, or other equivalent software a plus.
