FTS has an opportunity for a SIGINT Flight Engineer in Aurora, CO.
The SIGINT Flight Engineer will provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services focused on SIGINT collection systems and systems engineering.
Responsibilities
Represent the government in executing spacecraft integration, test, launch, and on-orbit operations
Conduct anomaly support, launch and mission readiness, and end-to-end space systems architecture analysis
Maintain close communications with the program acquisition office and customer engineering organizations providing recommendations on risk level of spacecraft activities
Oversee day-to-day execution of mission operations and processes to ensure proper attention to health, safety, and effective use of national resources
Provide launch and mission readiness subject matter expertise to operations and engineering including readiness for launch, spacecraft initialization, and transition to mission Required Skills/Qualifications
TS/SCI with polygraph
BS STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) in engineering discipline
9 years' relevant experience
Experience in spacecraft, payload, and launch vehicle engineering as well as mission readiness process, control gates, and associated entry/exit criteria.
SIGINT systems engineering expertise, and significant space and ground systems domain knowledge
Technical familiarity with SIGINT system's payloads, subsystems, and technical capabilities
Self-starter, proactively addresses customer requirements with no supervision; readily defines solutions for broad, abstract topics
Polished communicator (written/verbal); impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment Desired Skills/Qualifications
Real-time operations experience as a spacecraft operator or spacecraft engineer, familiar with space operations/policies
4-years' experience in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and/or closing DoD or Intelligence Community projects or Programs
Familiar with Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and associated tools, Agile development, cloud technologies
Contract management/COTR support experience
Experience with Jira, Confluence
