Description
The key responsibilities for a Superintendent include:
Help oversee management of construction projects and lead team in cooperative and synergistic efforts with other disciplines on projects
Promote and maintain client relationships
Support and coordinate interface between design and field construction
Develop and implement site utilization plan and establish needed crew size
Assist Project Manager on handling cost, and budget
Develop interest and negotiate with subcontractors, for bidders list
Prepare all required project status reports to coordinate with client
Develop frequent site inspections, while maintaining construction safety and OSHA compliance program
Profile
The successful candidate for Superintendent possesses:
Bachelor's Degree, in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field
5+ year of experience in the Construction industry preferred - includes internship experience
Experience in design/build or related field
Experience on ground up Multi-family projects
Works well in a team environment but is someone who can be self-sufficient when needed
Working knowledge of mechanical systems and structures
Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients
