Join Our Team as the Senior Stormwater Project Manager
GovFirst's client is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Stormwater Project Manager to oversee the planning, design, permitting, and construction of public stormwater infrastructure projects. This position will manage key aspects of stormwater infrastructure and related projects to enhance community development and environmental stewardship.
What You Will Do
Manage the planning, design, permitting, and construction of stormwater infrastructure Capital Improvement Program (CIP), rehabilitation, and corrective maintenance projects.
Oversee the Stormwater Utility's Corrective Maintenance Program.
Prepare requests for proposals and qualifications, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
Design and manage in-house infrastructure projects.
Manage on-call contracts for professional services, construction, maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation of stormwater infrastructure.
Inspect and document contractor work to ensure conformance to construction documents, plans, specifications, and permits.
Assist in developing and managing town-wide stormwater maintenance and capital improvement projects.
Help develop the annual budget and manage budgets for construction and maintenance projects.
Coordinate with utility companies on town and utility projects to mitigate potential conflicts, evaluate design alternatives, minimize impacts, and reduce costs.
Assist in the acquisition of easements, rights of entry, ordering plats, working with the Town Attorney's office, and communicating with property owners. Requirements
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field. Required Work Authorization
Must have the legal right to work in the United States. Required Certifications
Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Inspector (SC DHEC) preferred.
Certified Post-construction BMP Inspector (SC DHEC) preferred.
Valid Driver's License. Required Skills
Eight (8) years of related, progressively responsible experience, including considerable experience in engineering design, project management, and construction management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong project management skills and the ability to oversee multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in engineering design and construction management practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with contractors, property owners, and various stakeholders.
Ability to prepare clear and detailed documentation, proposals, and reports.
Knowledge of stormwater management practices and regulations.
Experience managing budgets for large-scale infrastructure projects. Benefits
