Plant Operations Monitor

Description

Assists with plant operations activities and programs for the entire Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) division, assigned regions, and/or departments.

Qualifications

Required

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate.

Four (4) years of experience in the supervision of building service personnel.

Possession of an appropriate, valid motor vehicle operator's license with a good driving record.

May be required to work an evening and/or night shift on a regular or rotating basis, accept call-back overtime or regular overtime, and/or agree to assume an emergency call-out list status.

Knowledge of plant operations and building service requirements.

Knowledge of building service materials, methods and practices, and the proper use and care of equipment and supplies.

Knowledge of personnel and administrative policies and procedures.

Ability to use sound judgment in making independent decisions.

Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships. Preferred

Building supervisor experience at an elementary, middle, or high school.
