MacMore is looking to fill a Technical Trainer position for an opportunity at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Anticipated start date: June 5th in Mobile, Alabama
As a Training Specialist, your expertise will directly impact how response teams prepare for, react to, and manage national crisis events such as hurricanes, wildfires, and floods. Your work will empower personnel to utilize critical systems and tools, ultimately enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of emergency response efforts.
What you'll be doing:
Develop and deliver comprehensive training materials including presentations, worksheets, user guides, and exercises that support onboarding and advanced system usage.
Design and manage training schedules, classroom agendas, and delivery plans to support users across different system versions.
Facilitate training sessions both in-person and virtually for government personnel, technical users, and emergency support teams.
Collect, analyze, and report training metrics, including course completion data, participant feedback, technical issues identified, and attendance records.
Collaborate with cybersecurity, development, and program management teams to align training with current system features, updates, and security requirements.
Maintain and update training documentation in compliance with federal standards and DoD procedures.
Support ongoing readiness by ensuring training programs evolve with system upgrades and evolving emergency response protocols.
Required Education, Experience and Skills;
At least 5 years minimum training experience, a Bachelors degree or a minimum of 7 years' experience with an Associate's degree.
Minimum of 5 years of cybersecurity experience, including hands-on work with RMF processes, eMASS, and compliance evaluations
Must have at least one of the following:
IAT-II or one of the following: A+CE, Network+ CE, CND, or CCNA + Security.
Proven experience creating engaging and effective training materials for diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience building and executing training schedules and managing classroom or virtual training agendas.
Demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams).
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
Experience training users on emergency management, mission-critical, or DoD systems.
Familiarity with federal IT systems, cybersecurity compliance (e.g., RMF, STIGs), or training-related documentation standards.
Strong communication and instructional design skills with the ability to simplify complex systems for diverse user bases.
